For a long time I have been concerned about the lessons we are teaching our young people through how we treat others (by what we do and say as well as what do not do and do not say). Drawing on my Quaker upbringing and my belief that our actions speak louder than our words, I wanted to come up with a way to challenge myself and others to think about how we treat each other and perhaps make a small change in my corner of the world. I want live my life in such a way that I am not a stumbling block for others in their search for God and meaning.
I came up with the idea of using t-shirt designs as a way to encourage people to think (and hopefully, act) differently. The designs are based on the concept of Living Simply and Praying Hard.
Live Simply - I am trying to live a more simple life to free up resources that I can use to bless others.
Pray Hard - I am trying to commit time each day to pray for others and for ways that I can do for others.
