We are a couple of days out from the tournament and I wanted to get you some information.
Coaches should check-in at the registration desk in the lobby of the East Wing. Please check-in at least 30 minutes before your first wave starts on Saturday. You will sign your roster and receive wrist bands for the players and staff on your roster. Players should put their wrist bands on their bag and be prepared to show it for entry.
Please make sure your teams/parents get this information.
Parking is $5 per day with in and out privileges. There are other events going on at the Coliseum and it will be busy so allow extra time to get where you want and the parking fee for them may be different. If they are giving you a different fee, tell them you are with the Quest New Year’s Tournament.
Admission is $15 for the weekend or $10 for one day, children 6 and under free. Tickets will be available at the ticket window just outside the entrance to the Special Events Center.
No outside chairs, food, coolers are allowed in the Special Events Center. Players may bring in their water bottles. You may tailgate in the parking lot, however, put away your food, tables, etc. away when you are not using them. Concession stands will be open in the East Wing and the Fieldhouse.
Saturday play begins at 8AM, doors open at 7 AM.
The 13-14 and the 17-18 Girls play in the 8AM wave (pool 9 in the 17-18s does not start until 11 AM), while the 15-16s start at 12:15 AM.
Teams will play two rounds on Saturday in a pool of 3 teams or a bracket of 4 teams. In the bracket of 4 teams, 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3, then the 2 winners play, and the 2 losers play. How the team does in round 1 decides where they go for round 2.
For Sunday play teams will only play against teams in their age group. Following the second round Saturday, teams will be seeded within their age group for play on Sunday based on how they did Saturday. There will be Championships for the 13s, 14s, 15, 16s, 17s and 18s.
Sunday play starts at 8 AM. Doors open at 7 AM.
Play will be at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center East Wing (C Hall) and the Fieldhouse (where the Swarm plays – located in front of the East Wing).
We will have an athletic Trainer available. If you need taping and bring your own tape, there is no charge. If you need to use the trainer's supplies, there will be a fee to cover the cost of the supplies.
